Articles System

The articles system is a more extensive news system, allowing articles to be created in different categories.

Articles are usually sorted by date with the most recent showing at the top, but when this is setup other sort orders (e.g alphabetical) can be used for some categories. We can set one article category to be news.

This module includes a page showing a list of categories, category index pages, pages for each article and the homepage (or any page) can have a small box showing a summary of the latest few articles which are click-able to reach the full story.

It is worth commenting that the same functionality can be obtained using the standard CMS, but this requires more effort when adding each new article.

This module is effectively a Wordpress website, with easy to manage categories and articles. But there is more flexibility than on most Wordpress implementations.
