Disability Act - Is your website compliant?

Woman viewing website created with Cornish CMS

If you use Cornish CMS to maintain your site then you will automatically be compliant with EU and USA laws requiring accessibility for disabled website users.

The Disability Discrimination Act in the UK (1995 and 2005) puts an obligation on organisations in the public sector (including schools and local government) as well as businesses in the private sector - to create websites that are accessible to blind and disabled users. This specifically includes services and information provided via your website. Is your existing website compliant?

We thought about this when we designed our system and made sure for example, that pages produced by Cornish CMS would be readable by a screen reader for the blind in accordance with RNIB specifications.

So by using Cornish CMS, that’s a big headache you no longer have to worry about.

Cornish CMS will even work with your international or foreign language website.
